“Anyone can sell safety but you wouldn’t buy safety from anyone” is the slogan of the British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) and their Registered Safety Supplier Scheme (RSSS).

The annual networking day took place yesterday and the formalities, in this the 25th year of the federation, started with a briefing. The federation’s CEO, Alan Murray and Chairman, John Gill spoke of the purpose and goal - better, safer work environment for those exposed to risk; and a point of excellence.

The membership is managed by Paul Manning who’s role it is to support those businesses that help keep people safe and healthy at work. Together with Roy Wilders, the manager of the RSSS, Paul aims to enhance the quality and capability, driving up standards in the #PPE supply chain.

I have much to thank the BSiF for and I left the day with a feeling of duty to share and support. So, I share my new knowledge that the federation, and its members, have the right to use the Primary Authority status by partnership with Trading Standards. For buyers/users this means that we are being recognised as a point of excellence.
